Miranda King, LPC
I am the owner of Refuge Counseling and Consulting. I have a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Alabama. I enjoy working with individuals 19 years of age and up on their journey to find relief from life's challenging situations. I understand that making the decision to seek therapy can be scary, but it can also be life changing. I want to help you grow from the struggles you have endured, heal from your pain, and move forward into the life you have always dreamed of!
I have extensive training and experience providing group and individual counseling in clinical settings working with addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I offer telehealth sessions using an integrative approach including motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, person-centered, and mindfulness.
Miranda accepts private pay clients, BCBS of Alabama and United Healthcare.

George King Jr., LPC
I have a passion to see individuals heal and progress forward in their defined path of fulfillment. For over 25 years I've been honored to walk alongside persons of all ages in overcoming real life challenges. I have specialized certification with alcohol and drug counseling and accept adolescent and adult clients from age 14 and above. I also enjoy assisting couples and families navigate relationships. Through person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and life plan development, we support you to a stronger, more confident, healthier life.
